Affected Areas
Cullman County in north central Alabama, southwestern Morgan County in north central Alabama, and southeastern Lawrence County in northwestern Alabama. Specific locations include Cullman, Hanceville, Good Hope, Falkville, Holly Pond, Dodge City, Baldwin, Vinemont, West Point, Garden City, Logan, Phelan, Jones Chapel, Battleground, Crane Hill, Lacon, Bremen, Smith Lake and Massey.

Expected Conditions
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen with additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch possible. At 2:51 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain is ending, but flooding is already occurring.

The warning is in effect until 5:00 AM CDT on August 21, 2026. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas.
