Terms of Use

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Areazine (areazine.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website.

Description of Service

Areazine is an automated news aggregation and summarization service that transforms publicly available government data into readable news articles. We aggregate data from official U.S. government sources including the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Editorial Summaries, Source Notice Is Authoritative

Important: Articles on Areazine are plain-language summaries of official government data. While every article is based on official source data and passes our editorial verification process, summaries may use different phrasing from the original notice. This means:

  • Articles may use different phrasing or framing than the original government notice
  • The original government source data is always linked for verification
  • Articles should be considered summaries of official data, not authoritative reporting

We strongly recommend that readers verify critical safety information by consulting the original government source linked at the bottom of every article.

Not Professional Advice, Not an Emergency Service

Content on Areazine is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute:

  • Professional medical, legal, financial, or safety advice
  • Official government communications or emergency alerts
  • A substitute for official recall notices or safety warnings
  • Emergency notification or early warning services

In any emergency, always call 911 or your local emergency number. Do not rely on Areazine for emergency information. Our content may be delayed from the original government publication by minutes to hours.

Independence from Government Agencies

Areazine is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any U.S. government agency. All article content is derived from publicly available data published under federal open data policies. Government agency names and data are used for attribution purposes only. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement.

Accuracy and Timeliness

While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees regarding:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any article
  • Whether our articles reflect the most current government data
  • The phrasing or interpretation of any plain-language summary
  • Whether all relevant safety information is included
  • The availability or uptime of our service

Government agencies may update, revise, or retract their data at any time. Our articles reflect data as it existed at the time of generation and may not reflect subsequent updates.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Areazine and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Personal injury, property damage, or financial loss resulting from reliance on our content
  • Failure to receive timely safety alerts or recall notices
  • Inaccuracies, omissions, or errors in any plain-language summary
  • Actions taken or not taken based on information on our website
  • Interruptions, delays, or failures in service
  • Losses arising from third-party government data inaccuracies

Our total liability for all claims shall not exceed $0 (zero dollars). Areazine is a free service and users accept all risk associated with its use.

Data Accuracy and Verification

Areazine aggregates and reformats information that originates from public government agencies, regulatory filings, and other openly available sources. While we take reasonable steps to ingest, normalize, and refresh this data, upstream records may contain clerical errors, lag behind real-world changes, or omit relevant context. You are solely responsible for verifying any fact that influences a legal, medical, financial, educational, safety, or similarly consequential decision. Cross-reference the official source before acting on anything you read here.

Acceptable Use

You may browse, read, and share Areazine content for personal, journalistic, academic, and non-commercial research use. You may cite specific records with attribution and a link back to the page on areazine.com. You may not (a) systematically scrape, crawl, or download the dataset in bulk without prior written permission; (b) resell, sublicense, or redistribute derived data products that compete with Areazine; (c) use our pages to harass, defame, or misrepresent any individual or organization appearing in the data; (d) remove, obscure, or mislabel source attribution; or (e) attempt to bypass rate limits, security controls, or authentication mechanisms.

Editorial Process

Areazine combines raw public data with plain-language summaries, explainers, and comparisons. Narrative sections are drafted by our editorial team from official source data and reviewed for accuracy before publication. We do not modify the underlying numbers or filings, those are loaded directly from the upstream source. If you spot a summary that misreads the data, please email the correction link on our contact page; we publish corrections within 48 hours of any factual flag.

Intellectual Property

The underlying public records surfaced on Areazine are in the public domain or otherwise freely licensed by the issuing agency, you are free to use those raw facts. However, our site design, layout, navigation structure, original editorial copy, category taxonomies, comparison tables, and curated rankings are the copyrighted work of Areazine. These creative elements may not be reproduced in whole or substantial part without permission.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes in our data sources, product features, legal environment, or advertising relationships. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, when appropriate, surface a brief notice on the homepage. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to revisit this page periodically.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the jurisdiction in which Areazine is domiciled, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to your use of Areazine will first be addressed through good-faith informal negotiation. If that fails, both parties agree to resolve the dispute in the courts with jurisdiction over Areazine's principal place of business. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer-protection rights under applicable local law.

For formal legal notices, DMCA takedown requests, subpoenas, law-enforcement requests, or correspondence regarding these terms, email legal@areazine.com. General questions, data corrections, and feedback should use the contact page so they reach the editorial team promptly.
