Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2025 Transit vehicles because the brake pedal may disconnect from the brake booster pushrod, resulting in a loss of brake function. This issue causes the vehicles to fail compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 105, "Hydraulic and Electric Brake Systems."

The recall involves 15,965 units of the 2025 Ford Transit vehicles. The NHTSA campaign number is 26V090000, and Ford's recall number is 26C07. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) affected became searchable on NHTSA.gov on February 18, 2026.

Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Take your vehicle to a dealer for inspection and repair of the brake booster assembly at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 24, 2026, and you may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 for more information.
