What Happened

Coach and Equipment Mfg. Corp. is recalling certain transit buses equipped with S-Series wheelchair platform lifts. The electrical contactor may fail, preventing the controls from stopping the lift.

Which Products Are Affected

The recall covers 2024-2025 Phoenix and 2025-2026 Metrolite transit buses. A total of 524 units are affected under NHTSA Campaign Number 26V472000.

What You Should Do

Dealers will correct the wiring by installing two diodes free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 3, 2026. Owners may contact Coach and Equipment customer service at 1-800-724-8464.
