Alert Details
The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Winter Storm Warning for portions of northeast Minnesota. The alert remains in effect as heavy snow and high winds continue to impact the region.

The warning covers Northern Cook and Northern Lake counties. This geographic area includes the eastern and central sections of the Boundary Waters.

Forecasters expect heavy snow throughout the warning period. Additional snow accumulations are projected to be between 1 and 3 inches for most areas, though the higher terrain of the North Shore could see significantly higher totals between 3 and 8 inches.
