The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO has issued a Flood Warning. This alert is effective from April 27, 2026, at 7:29 AM CDT until April 29, 2026, at 5:26 AM CDT.

Expected Conditions
Minor flooding is forecast. At 6:30 AM CDT on April 27, the river stage was 13.9 feet. The river is expected to rise above the flood stage of 23.0 feet to a crest of 25.4 feet this evening, then fall below flood stage late tonight. At 25.0 feet, County Highway 6 floods about 3 miles east of Tonganoxie, and at 23.0 feet, low-lying farmland along the creek floods.
