The Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued a Moderate Flood Warning for the Thomson River and Cooper Creek, and a Minor Flood Warning for the Barcoo River. This update, Flood Warning Number 51, was issued at 12:14 pm AEST on Sunday, 22 February 2026.
