The Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued an Initial Minor Flood Warning (IDD20575) for the Victoria River. This warning follows forecasts of moderate to heavy rainfall across the catchment area.

At Kalkarindji, the river level is currently 1.14 meters and steady, but it is expected to rise and may exceed the minor flood level of 9.00 meters by Friday morning. At Victoria River Crossing, levels were recorded at 13.36 meters and rising as of Thursday midday. River level rises are also occurring along the Camfield River and between Battle Creek and Wattie Creek.
