The Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued a Minor Flood Warning (IDD20555) for the Katherine River. This update, Warning Number 35, indicates that near-minor flooding is occurring at Nitmiluk Centre.

Downstream at Katherine Bridge, the river was recorded at 12.43 meters and falling. Levels there are expected to remain below the minor flood level of 16.00 meters. A Flood Watch remains current for parts of the Top End, including the Katherine River.
