South central Macon County in western North Carolina... * Until 845 PM EDT. * At 800 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 4 miles southwest of Franklin, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This dangerous storm will be near... Sky Valley around 820 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this dangerous thunderstorm include Otto, Pine Mountain, and Scaly Mountain.
