TORPAH The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a * Tornado Warning for... Southern Massac County in southern Illinois... Northern McCracken County in western Kentucky... * Until 600 PM CDT. * At 534 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Barkley Regional Airport, or 7 miles west of Metropolis, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This dangerous storm will be near... Paducah, Metropolis, West Paducah, and Barkley Regional Airport around 540 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Joppa. This includes the following highways... Interstate 24 in Kentucky between Mile Markers 1 and 5. Interstate 24 in Illinois between Mile Markers 35 and 38.
