TORRAH The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a * Tornado Warning for... Central Orange County in central North Carolina... West central Durham County in central North Carolina... * Until 900 PM EDT. * At 815 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Mebane, or 7 miles south of Prospect Hill, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This dangerous storm will be near... Hillsborough around 820 PM EDT. Durham around 830 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Efland and Eno River State Park. This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 163 and 181. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 157 and 162, and near Mile Marker 259. the Durham Freeway near Mile Marker 17.
