Coastal waters from Port Fourchon Louisiana to Lower Atchafalaya River LA from 20 to 60 NM... * Until 1245 PM CDT. * At 1116 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 14 NM south of Timbalier Island, moving east at 5 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 34 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Isle Derniers, Timbalier Island, Caillou Bay, Terrebonne Bay and Timbalier Bay.
