The Saint Lawrence River from Cape Vincent to Saint Regis... * Until 1030 PM EDT. * At 854 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 7 nm north of Tibbets Point, moving northeast at 40 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and large hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage. * Locations impacted include... Pillar Point, Alexandria Bay, Southwick Beach, Henderson Harbor, Wellesley Island, Westcott Beach, Chaumont Bay, Stony Point, Clayton, Sandy Island Beach, Black River Bay, Tibbets Point, Sackets Harbor, North Pond, St. Lawrence River, and Cape Vincent.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for central New York...and the adjacent waters of Lake Ontario. Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are expected. Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor immediately.
