A Tornado Warning has been issued by NWS Hastings NE for southern Thayer County in south central Nebraska. The alert is effective from May 17 at 6:41 PM CDT until May 17 at 7:30 PM CDT. The National Weather Service reports a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado, with radar indicated rotation.

The warning covers Southern Thayer County. The storm was located near Hebron, or 21 miles north of Belleville, moving east at 25 mph. It will be near Hebron around 6:45 PM CDT and Gilead around 7:00 PM CDT. Other locations in the path include Alexandria.
