Southwestern Cook County in northeastern Illinois... * Until 1100 AM CDT. * At 1010 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage were located near Yorkville, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * Locations impacted include... Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Bolingbrook, Wheaton, Downers Grove, Lombard, Romeoville, Plainfield, Woodridge, Oswego, Batavia, Lockport, New Lenox, Homer Glen, Mokena, Yorkville, Hinsdale, Lemont, Plano, Burr Ridge, Oak Brook, Westmont, Lisle, and Darien.
