Tornado Warning issued by NWS Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN. Effective from 4:13 PM CDT June 19, 2026 until 4:45 PM CDT June 19, 2026. Severity: Extreme. Certainty: Observed. Urgency: Immediate.

Affected Areas

North Central Isanti County in east central Minnesota and Southwestern Kanabec County in east central Minnesota. Locations impacted include Ogilvie, Lewis Lake, Brunswick, Stanchfield and Grandy.

What You Should Do

Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built building away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

Expected Conditions

At 4:13 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Ogilvie, or 18 miles north of Cambridge, moving southeast at 35 mph. Hazard: Tornado and quarter size hail. Source: Radar indicated rotation. Impacts: Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
