Western Hancock County in west central Illinois; Southwestern Lee County in southeastern Iowa; Southern Clark County in northeastern Missouri. Locations in the path include Warsaw, Wayland, Winchester, Antioch, Clark City, Gregory Landing, St. Patrick, Clark County Fairgrounds, Keokuk, Hamilton, Alexandria, St. Francisville, Summitville, Mooar, Keokuk Airport, Chatfield Park, Sandusky, Camp Eastman, Nauvoo, Elvaston, Galland, and Nauvoo State Park.

What You Should Do

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Expected Conditions

At 3:09 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Antioch, or 9 miles south of Kahoka, moving northeast at 45 mph. Radar indicated rotation. Max hail size up to .75 inches. Hazard: Tornado. Impact: Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
