Tornado Warning issued by NWS Quad Cities IA IL. Effective from 9:08 AM CDT until 9:45 AM CDT on June 11, 2026. Severity: Extreme. Certainty: Observed. Urgency: Immediate.
Affected Areas
Northern Johnson County in east central Iowa; Southern Linn County in east central Iowa; Iowa County in east central Iowa. Locations in the path include Marengo, Williamsburg, Oxford, Amana, Conroy, Upper South Amana, East Amana, West Amana, Homestead, High Amana, Cedar Rapids, Swisher, F.W. Kent Park, North Liberty, Tiffin, Ely, Shueyville, Cedar Rapids Municipal Airport, Cou Falls, Sandy Beach Camp Ground, Solon, Lake Macbride State Park, Palisades-Kepler State Park, Sugar Bottom Camp Ground, Twin View Heights, Mount Vernon, and Sutliff. Includes Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 205 and 253 and Interstate 380 between mile markers 1 and 14.

Expected Conditions
At 9:08 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Genoa Bluff, or near Marengo, moving east at 65 mph. Hazard: Tornado and quarter size hail. Source: Radar indicated rotation. Impact: Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
