Affected Areas
Northwestern Jasper County in southeastern Illinois, Southeastern Shelby County in central Illinois, Cumberland County in east central Illinois, Northern Effingham County in south central Illinois. Locations in path include Stewardson, Shumway, Effingham, Teutopolis, Montrose, Jewett, Hidalgo, and Hidden Springs State Forest. Includes Interstate 57 between mile markers 158 and 179 and Interstate 70 between mile markers 91 and 119.

Expected Conditions
At 7:50 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Cowden, or 11 miles south of Shelbyville, moving east at 50 mph. Hazard: Tornado and tennis ball size hail (2.50 inches). Source: Radar indicated rotation.
