Southeastern Jasper County in southeastern Illinois... * Until 545 PM CDT. * At 446 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Ste. Marie, or 7 miles southeast of Newton, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This dangerous storm will be near... Ste. Marie around 450 PM CDT. Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include Robinson, Flat Rock and Palestine.
