The warning covers the Iowa River at Wapello in Louisa County, Iowa. Minor flooding is also forecast for the Iowa River near Lone Tree affecting Louisa, Johnson, and Washington Counties, and the Iowa River at Oakville affecting Louisa County.

Expected Conditions

Minor flooding is forecast. At 21.0 feet, agricultural land near the river is flooded and water covers most islands. Water starts rising onto secondary roads in Wapello Bottoms.

The river is expected to rise above flood stage Friday morning to a crest of 21.5 feet Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday evening. Flood stage is 21.0 feet. The alert expires at 9:00 PM CDT on June 18 and ends at 7:00 AM CDT on June 21.
