Alert Details
A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service Charleston WV. The alert is effective from August 16 at 1:14 PM EDT until August 16 at 10:15 PM EDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers southern Fayette County in southeastern West Virginia and northeastern Raleigh County in southeastern West Virginia. Specific locations include Babcock State Park, Mount Hope, Piney View, Stanaford, Bradley, Prosperity, Meadow Bridge, Pax and Artie. Impacted highways include Route 19 between mile markers 1 and 7 and near mile marker 25, Interstate 64 between mile markers 127 and 137, and West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 51 and 56.

Expected Conditions
Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Water will continue to work its way down the drainages with continuing high water impacts. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected.
