Flood Warning issued by NWS Charleston WV effective September 22, 2026 at 8:02 PM EDT until September 22, 2026 at 11:00 PM EDT.
Affected Areas
Barbour, Braxton, Lewis, Randolph and Upshur counties in West Virginia, including northeastern Braxton County, south central Barbour County, west central Randolph County, Upshur County and southeastern Lewis County. Specific locations include Buckhannon, Rock Cave, French Creek, Alton, Tallmansville, Alexander, Lorentz, Overhill, Kanawha Head, Horner, Eden, Walkersville, Ellamore, Hodgesville, Ireland and Helvetia. Roads affected include portions of Sand Run Road and Heavner Grove Road in Buckhannon and Pleasant Ridge in French Creek. Highways impacted include Interstate 79 near mile marker 87 and Route 33 between mile markers 2-7 and 15-17.

Expected Conditions
