Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Albuquerque NM. Effective from August 19, 2026 at 4:03 PM MDT until August 19, 2026 at 7:00 PM MDT.
Affected Areas
South Central Catron County in west central New Mexico, including Mogollon and Pleasanton.
What You Should Do
Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Arroyos, streams, and normally dry rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen with an expected rainfall rate of 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
