Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa NM. Effective from September 16 at 9:29 PM MDT until September 16 at 11:30 PM MDT.
Affected Areas
Northwestern Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico and southern Sierra County in south central New Mexico. Specific locations include Hatch, Arrey, Derry, Salem, Garfield and Caballo Lake.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
