Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Albuquerque NM. Effective from 7:07 PM MDT August 7, 2026 until 10:00 PM MDT August 7, 2026.
Affected Areas
Northeastern Lincoln County in central New Mexico. Mainly rural areas of Northeastern Lincoln County. Low water crossings along Gallo Arroyo and Hasperos Canyon Arroyo may be impacted.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Arroyos, streams, and normally dry rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes. Water in arroyos can travel many miles and take hours to reach your location from upstream rain areas.
Expected Conditions
At 7:07 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard is flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
