Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Albuquerque NM. Effective from 11:40 AM MDT to 2:45 PM MDT on June 2, 2026.
Affected Areas
South Central Lincoln County in central New Mexico, including the Blue 2 Scar burn scar and Nogal Arroyo. Specific locations include Bonito Lake and Nogal, as well as Highway 380 between Mile Markers 73 and 75.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Blue 2 Scar burn scar and Nogal Arroyo. Up to 1.4 inches of rain have fallen, with additional rainfall amounts up to 0.75 inches possible. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will impact the Rio Bonito, with debris flow consisting of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
