Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa NM. Effective from September 22 at 10:49 PM MDT until September 23 at 1:45 AM MDT.
Affected Areas
South Central Otero County in south central New Mexico and North Central Hudspeth County in western Texas. Specific locations include portions of the Otero Mesa northwest of Dell City, Shiloh Draw, North Draw, Cornudas Draw, and Wind Mountain Draw.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
Expected Conditions
Slow moving thunderstorms have been training across parts of the Otero Mesa from Hudspeth County. 1 to 1.50 inches of rain has fallen northwest of Dell City, leading to flooding in arroyos and draws that flow east. Back roads northwest of Dell City will also experience flooding.
