Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Albuquerque NM. Effective from September 22, 2026 at 2:30 PM MDT until September 22, 2026 at 5:30 PM MDT. Alert type code: FFW.
Affected Areas
Bernalillo County in central New Mexico; North Central Torrance County in central New Mexico; South Central Santa Fe County in north central New Mexico. Specific locations include Moriarty and Edgewood, as well as Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 188 and 199.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen, with additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches possible. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
