* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of southern California, including the following areas, Chiriaco Summit, Joshua Tree NP East and Joshua Tree NP West. * WHEN...From 5 PM PDT this afternoon through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The remnants of Tropical Storm Rachel will lead to multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms from this evening through Sunday afternoon. Moderate to locally heavy rainfall with localized rainfall rates up to one inch per hour will be possible at times, which may lead to localized flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
