* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast North Carolina, including the following areas, Coastal Brunswick, Coastal New Hanover, Coastal Pender, Columbus, Inland Brunswick, Inland New Hanover and Inland Pender and northeast South Carolina, including the following areas, Central Horry, Coastal Georgetown, Coastal Horry, Inland Georgetown and Northern Horry. * WHEN...Through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Tropical moisture continues to overspread the area tonight through Sunday with showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall at times. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected with the highest totals likely in the Cape Fear area. A few areas could receive up to 6 inches in thunderstorms, mainly tonight. This excessive rainfall could lead to flooding, especially in flood prone and low-lying areas. - weather.gov/safety/flood
