Shoal River near Mossy Head (CR 1087) affecting Walton County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Shoal River near Mossy Head (CR 1087). * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Water begins to overflow into wooded areas along the river from New Harmony Road westward to Laird Road. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 15.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:15 AM CDT Sunday was 22.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this afternoon and continue falling to 6.7 feet tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.0 feet on 06/22/2026. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
