* WHAT...Stream and river flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...South Central Ashe County in northwestern North Carolina... Watauga County in northwestern North Carolina... Southwestern Wilkes County in northwestern North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 1000 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Streams continue to rise due another round of heavy rain that is passing across the warning area as of 745 AM. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 743 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that another round of heavy rain is passing across the warning area. Flooding is already occurring due to between 4.5 and 7.5 inches of rain that has fallen since Saturday morning. Creeks and rivers will continue to rise until about 9 AM, and will begin falling again. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Flat Branch, Dugger Creek, Left Prong Stony Fork, Grassy Creek, Laurel Fork, Mill Creek, Meat Camp Creek, Elk Creek, Dutch Creek, Norris Fork, Fall Creek, Brushy Fork and Little Dugger Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
