FFWPSR The National Weather Service in Phoenix has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... West Central La Paz County in west central Arizona... Northeastern Imperial County in southeastern California... Riverside County in southern California... * Until 1030 AM MST /1030 AM PDT/. * At 808 AM MST /808 AM PDT/, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain falling across the warned area. Between 0.75 and 1.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Blythe, Nicholls Warm Springs, Palo Verde, Blythe Airport, Ripley and East Blythe. This includes the following highways... CA Route 78 between mile markers 77 and 80. CA Interstate 10 between mile markers 136 and 145. CA Route 95 near mile marker 1...and between mile markers 10 and 18. This includes the following streams and drainages... Milpitas Wash and Colorado River.
