High tides today may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from 09:45 to 14:15 on Wednesday 28 October. We are not expecting the flood alert to be required for any further tides in this high tide cycle. Locations most affected will be coastal roads and footpaths along the coast at North Morecambe Bay from Roosebeck to Carnforth including low lying areas around Ulverston, Greenodd, Haverthwaite, Flookburgh, Grange-over-Sands, Levens, Milnthorpe, Sandside, Arnside and Silverdale. We are closing flood gates . Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 5:00PM on Wednesday 28 October or as the situation changes.
