SMWTAE The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Waters from Suwannee River to Apalachicola FL from 20 to 60 NM... * Until 1000 AM EDT. * At 753 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 26 nm south of S Tower, moving southwest at 15 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots...suddenly higher waves...frequent lightning...and heavy downpours. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets. * The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are expected. Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects.
