South Mobile Bay... * Until 415 PM CDT. * At 249 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 17 nm southwest of Farewell Buoy, moving north at 20 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... East Fowl River Bridge, Sand Island Lighthouse, Farewell Buoy, Mississippi Sound East Of Pascagoula, Heron Bay, Central Dauphin Island, Fort Gaines, Dauphin Island Bridge, Fort Morgan, and Western Dauphin Island.
