Pensacola Bay Area including Santa Rosa Sound... * Until 1145 PM CDT. * At 1043 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located near Pensacola Beach, or 9 nm southeast of Pensacola Pass, moving east at 10 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Navarre Beach, East Santa Rosa Sound, West Santa Rosa Sound, Pensacola Beach, and Oriskany Reef.
