South Mobile Bay... * Until 100 PM CDT. * At 1206 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over Fort Gaines, or near Sand Island Lighthouse, moving north at 15 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Dauphin Island Bridge, Fort Morgan, Heron Bay, East Fowl River Bridge, Alabama Port, and Portersville Bay.
