Lake Superior from Grand Marais MI to Whitefish Point MI 5NM off shore to the US/Canadian border... * Until 215 PM EDT. * At 108 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 30 nm north of Grand Sable Dunes, or 32 nm southeast of The Eastern Lake Superior Buoy, moving northeast at 40 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and large hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage. * The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
