Coastal Waters from Boothville LA to Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River out 20 nm... Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island Louisiana out 20 to 60 NM... Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island out 20 NM... * Until 1030 PM CDT. * At 930 PM CDT, a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts was located along a line extending from near Chandeleur Sound to 24 nm east of Breton Sound to 38 nm south of Petit Bois Pass, moving southwest at 30 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Breton Sound and Chandeleur Sound.
