Northern Union County in southeastern South Dakota... * Until 530 AM CDT. * At 436 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles east of Davis to near Centerville to 7 miles southeast of Wakonda, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Mesonet. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. * Severe thunderstorms will be near... Beresford around 440 AM CDT. Union Grove State Park around 445 AM CDT. Alcester and Newton Hills State Park around 450 AM CDT. Fairview around 455 AM CDT. Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include Hudson, Hawarden, Rock Valley and Ireton.

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay away from windows. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
