East Central Pima County in southeastern Arizona... * Until 130 PM MST. * At 1244 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Vail, moving east at 5 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Vail. This includes the following highways... Interstate 10 between mile markers 275 and 286. Route 83 between mile markers 52 and 58.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
