Pender County in southeastern North Carolina... * Until 645 PM EDT. * At 552 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Wards Corner, or 8 miles west of Burgaw, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind damage to trees and power lines. * Locations impacted include... Burgaw, Penderlea, White Stocking, Point Caswell, Long Creek, Murray Town, Rooks, Ashton, Malpass Corner, Montague, Willard, Rocky Point, Currie, Castle Hayne, Wards Corner, The Borough, Wrightsboro, St. Helena, Atkinson, and Watha.
