Northern Greenwood County in Upstate South Carolina... * Until 500 PM EDT. * At 352 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles southwest of Laurens, or 5 miles northeast of Ware Shoals, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to trees and power lines. * Locations impacted include... Ware Shoals, Cross Hill, Cokesbury, Waterloo, Hodges, Lake Greenwood State Park, Lake Greenwood, Coronaca, Hickory Tavern, and Greenwood State Park.
