Colleton County in southeastern South Carolina... * Until 600 PM EDT. * At 506 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Ashepoo, moving southeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Hollywood, Ravenel, Meggett, Jacksonboro, Ashepoo, Adams Run, Green Pond, Ritter, Parkers Ferry and Beck Landing.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
