Monroe County in western New York... Ontario County in western New York... * Until 845 PM EDT. * At 738 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Irondequoit to near Varysburg, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. * Locations impacted include... Rochester, Irondequoit, Chili, Oswego, Geneva, Canandaigua, Geneseo, East Rochester, Webster, and Fairport. This includes the following highways... Interstate 390 between exits 6 and 12. Interstate 90 between exits 40 and 46.

Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for central and western New York.
