Southwestern Chowan County in northeastern North Carolina... * Until 500 PM EDT. * At 410 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Powellsville, or 9 miles south of Ahoskie, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines. * This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of eastern Bertie and southwestern Chowan Counties, including the following locations... Goose Pond, Whites Crossroads, Merry Hill, Connaritsa, Edenhouse, Trap, Mount Gould, Hancock, Burden, and Wakelon.
