The notice as issued

At 750 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 5 miles north of West Sinton to over Annaville, or along a line from 10 miles east of Mathis to 7 miles northwest of Corpus Christi International Airport, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Sinton, Mathis, Taft, Odem, St. Paul, Lake City, San Patricio, West Sinton, Edroy, Papalote, Tynan, Lakeside, Taft Southwest and Lake Corpus Christi. This includes the following highways... Interstate 37 between mile markers 15 and 39. US Highway 181 between mile markers 608 and 630. US Highway 77 between mile markers 640 and 658.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
